TIPS TO INCREASE THE LONGEVITY OF YOUR ACRYLIC NAILS
Whenever we get a manicure done from Nails A More, we are always in awe. Sometimes in the middle of the day, we would stop and look at our hands and think how pretty the long. Acrylic Nails always look so good, but sadly they aren’t permanent, and sooner than later, your natural nails will grow out. The acrylic nails require regular maintenance and attention. Though they are strong, they still need to be treated with care. Following are some tips to help increase the life of your acrylic nails.
Have a good technician
The longevity of the nails is highly dependent on the technician. If they don’t do their job correctly, then the nail can fall off. If it has happened to you in the past, they have either forgotten to apply the primer or forgot to remove all the nails from the nail palate, or simply didn’t apply the product properly. Find a nail technician who is consistent, curious, and creative. They should be qualified, highly skilled, and should keep themselves updated with the products and trends. The technician should be updated with your infills and imbalances and ensure that your natural nails are still looking healthy.
Carrying out daily and weekly maintenance
Looking after the nails will keep them looking strong and avoid any breakage from happening. Ensure that you clean the nails with the help of a brush and apply cuticle oil and moisturize your hands daily to keep them soft and healthy. Keep a lookout for any lifting or crack marks on the acrylics. If there is nail varnish on top, then apply a topcoat every two days to prevent it from chipping. When you are doing any washing or using cleaning products, make it a point to wear gloves. Book your infills every 2 to 3 weeks. If you are a fan of long and warm baths, then it is time you cut them short as they can severely impact the life of the nails. Always apply moisturizer after washing your hands. We all use our nails as tools to cut things open, but the time has come for that to stop. You need to take proper care of them.
Include supplements and vitamins for your natural nails
You could start including supplements in your diet which are rich in calcium and vitamins. With age, the body begins to lack Vitamin B, which makes the skin and nails dry and brittle. So ensure that you take them regularly.
Schedule your Acrylic fillers
If you are a fan of acrylic nails, then it is time you made a habit of scheduling the infill appointments. When the natural nail begins to grow, a gap gets formed at the cuticle area. This is when the lifting begins to happen, and the nail starts to get stuck in everything. Not getting your infill on time can also damage the natural nail which is present underneath. This also makes the acrylic nail weaker.
