The Year’s Best Fragrance: The 2007 FiFi’s

by Paul Baranda

If you’re new to the world of fragrance, the FiFi’s are not a group of poodles, but are the Fragrance Foundations annual awards presented in New York City, based on numerous criteria to (who they deem) the best fragrance products in more categories than you can even think of. Here are some of the highlights of this years presentation…

Pics and Winners after the jump…

FRAGRANCE OF THE YEAR

Women’s Luxe: Juicy Couture

Men’s Luxe (tie): Terre d’ Hermes and Unforgivable (by Sean John)

Women’s Nouveau Niche: Kenzo Amour

Men’s Nouveau Niche: Viktor and Rolf, Antidote

FRAGRANCE HALL OF FAME

Angel, by Thierry Mugler

Juicy Couture had a good sweep this year, taking away the Fragrance of the Year, the Bath and Body Line of the Year and the Best National Advertising Campaign of the Year.
As a side note, Unforgivable (by Sean John) smells remarkably similar to the fragrance that Sean’s assistants used to purchase in Neiman Marcus a few years ago at the Creed Fragrance counter… Imperial?????
