Sex and the City is going to the Big Screen!

by Paul Baranda

Sex, Lipstick, and SHOES!!! That’s right ladies and gents, Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York and Samantha Jones have done it! HBO and New Line Cinema have confirmed that they have finally given the girls the big-screen, The Sex and the City movie is in the making!

There was some speculation in early 2005 as far as the demands the actresses had and while three of the girls were locked in, Kim Catrell was holding out for the big payday. No worries though, earlier this year, both Parker and Catrell put the end to these rumors.

While out promoting her new clothing line, Bitten, Sarah Jessica Parker said, “Never say never, it was such a great show, it would be fantastic to go back.”

Go back with the crew…

And just this past Thursday, Kim Catrell stated to London’s Heart Radio, “I am really so flattered because I feel that people actually do miss the show and the characters. I thought that the series really ended so well and to reopen it it would have to be a great script. As with any project that you do it really starts and ends with the script, you’ve got to ask the questions: Who are the characters? Where will they go? What will their journey be? Will the people be interested? and but all is tranquil in the world of sex, shoes, fashion, and the city once again.

Details of the script are being held under tight wraps, but the rumor is that it wont pick up exactly where it left off in the series. Personally, I don’t care what direction the film takes, I will be in line for my ticket asap! These ladies are an inspiration to any girl with a passion for fashion! Of course, all men and women can learn some pointers in the bedroom from the man-eating Samantha!

So call your friends, put on your best pair of Manolo Blahniks, it’s time to leave the living room and head to the theater soon to see your ladies on the big screen for the Sex and the City movie. We will keep you posted on the soon to be announced release date!
