If you’re new to our site, these posts are the opinion of the salespeople that work at the actual counters that we’re writing about and are not necessarily the opinion of B3. I (of course) will still let you know what I think.
Guerlain: It’s a tie! Kiss, Kiss Lipstick and Mascara.

$27.00
Available at Sephora.com, neimanmarcus.com, bergdorfgoodman.com
The Kiss, Kiss Lipstick has a great texture, beautiful color selection and good wear-ability. The Maxi Lash, Extreme Volume Mascara is great if you want huge lashes with the least amount of effort. Guerlain calls it the “wonder bra mascara”. It lifts, separates and gives lots of volume.

$26.00
Available at Sephora.com, neimanmarcus.com, bergdorfgoodman.com
B3: I wholeheartedly agree on both points. My only wish is that the lipsticks came in even more colors.

Chanel: Teint Natural Foundation

57.50
Available at saks.com, Nordstrom.com, neimanmarcus.com, bergdorfgoodman.com
This is the oldest of the foundations at Chanel, but still the counter favorite. It’s one of the only foundations left (in the industry) with a fair amount of oil. It gives a medium coverage with a dewy, skin-like finish. It’s great for the more matured customer who always feels dry with other foundations.
B3: I also love this foundation! My only comment is: with any foundation that contains emollients (in larger quantities), it needs to be set with a powder or within the first two hours, you have creasing everywhere you have expression lines. Many women feel as if the powder is drying (or dry looking). Put it on. Give it about 20 minutes and it looks like you just have beautiful skin.
Erno Laszlo: Shake-it foundation
$40.00
Available at Nordstrom.com and bergdorfgoodman.com
This foundation is great for oily skin! It gives a light coverage that is instantly matte and stays matte all day. You need to shake it because it has powder on the bottom that mixes with the liquid on top. It also keeps the bacteria level down because of the ingredients in the liquid.
B3: I like the foundation, but not for every day. I feel that by over-drying the surface, the brain gets the wrong message and (over time) one becomes even more oily. Maybe to counteract this effect, one could use an oil cleanser (or just choose another foundation and blot the oil)?
