Making My List… Checking it Twice

by Jennifer Long-Levy

I have quite the holiday wish list this year! I love the holidays (all of them!) and I cannot wait to celebrate with my family in friends. Here are a few items I am hoping are under my tree this year (and my husband told me I can’t ask for a pony, an Aston Martin, or an apartment in Paris).

1. MAC Cosmetics TechnaKohl Liner

This is definitely at the top of my eyeliner list. I love it so much that I wear it at least 6 days a week! I’d like one in Earthline, one in Plank, Photogravure, and Purple Dash, Greyprint… okay maybe just one of each color!

2. Moschino Cheap and Chic Hippy Fizz Eau de Toilette

I am still trying to coax the remaining drops out of my old bottle! This is one of my favorite scents. I hope Santa is reading this list….

Hippy Fizz has vibrant radiant top notes of Lemon, Rasberry Leaves and Magnolia, Sparkling Light Heartedness of Lotus Flower, May Rose and Parma Violet with bottom notes of Vibrant Oak Moss and Cedar wood. Mmmm….

3. Origins Ginger Fest Gift Set

Yummy… After visiting Origins for their holiday kickoff party, I am addicted to their ginger products. I can’t get enough. It smells so good! The Ginger Fest gift set includes:

• Ginger Souffle™ Whipped body cream net wt. 4.0 oz./125 ml

• Incredible Spreadable Scrub™ Ginger body smoother net wt. 4.0 oz./125 ml

• Ginger Float™ Cream bubble bath 8.0 fl oz./225 ml

4. 3LAB The “h” Serum

I told you I am addicted to 3LAB. The more samples I try, the more hooked I get. I just love The “h” Serum.

5. Limited Edition Smashbox Lip Gloss set

I love Smashbox and I love lip gloss (so much less work than lipstick). The Smashbox Lip Gloss Collection includes three best-selling shades and three holiday-exclusive shades.

I hope I find it in my stocking!

6. Frank Gehry Torque drop pendant from Tiffany & Co.

One of my first loves is architecture, and Frank Gehry brings architectural vision to sterling silver. Plus it’s called “Torque,” and that makes me think of my little red roadster.

7. Shiori Pencil Skirt from Lucky Brand Jeans

I love a good pencil skirt, and I really love them in denim. Check out the cute back flap pockets!

8. Water Color Garden Rosette Dress from J.Crew

I just love J.Crew (and not only because I admire our soon to be First Lady Michelle Obama, who rocked J.Crew on the Tonight Show). Their clothing is not just made from really great natural materials: cotton, merino wool, silk, and cashmere; but it comes in some really fun colors and prints. This dress is going to be perfect to wear for my 30th 21st birthday party!

9. Dolce Vita Wendy tall brown boots

These boots are perfect for jeans, skirts, and even under wider leg pants. The color is the perfect medium brown and at 3.25″ the heel is high without catapulting you into a different atmosphere!

10. Dolce Vita Madison platform pumps

I think I just fell in love. So gorgeous, I would rock these in any color.

And in the true spirit of the season, don’t forget that you can make gifts out of donations to charitable organizations! These can truly be the most meaningful gifts you will ever receive.

Some of my favorite charities are the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , and the Humane Society of the United States.

What’s on your wish list?

I really like that J.Crew watercolor dress, too! I splurged and bought the matching clutch instead.
