Help for Haiti: Ways to Support Earthquake Victims

by Jennifer Long-Levy

haiti needs our helpThe earthquake in Haiti has left thousands injured and homeless.  The loss of life has been astounding.  Because of the shear magnitude of the issue, there is not enough medical help, rescue help, and basic food, clothing, and water for the suffering population.  Even sadder, is there is now a great risk for disease to spread, and without adequate medical treatment, more people may die.

In an effort to help readers find legitimate charities to donate to, to help the people of Haiti, our fellow bloggers have come up with this list:

General
The Red Cross
Unicef
Operation Usa
Save The Children
Mercy Corps
UN Central Emergency Response
Help Haiti Now
Haiti Children
Madre
Partners in Health

Celebrity
Ben’s Stillerstrong
Wyclef’s Yele Haiti
Bill’s Clinton Foundation

Food
World Food Bank
Action Against Hunger
Word

Medical
Doctors Without Borders
International Medical Corps
Direct Relief
CARE
Albert Schweitzer Hospital

Searching for People
Hatian Earthquake Registry
State Department

In-Situation Help

If you can, please take the time to learn more about how to help.  Us humans need to stick together, and Haiti desperately needs support.

Thank you.

Yours,

The Beyond Beauty Basics Team
