Green, Sulfate-free Haircare – BIOLAGE Delicate Care

by

biolageBIOLAGE’s colorcarethérapie Delicate Care is the first sulfate-free, high performance, 100% recyclable hair care system.  BIOLAGE Delicare Care is a solution for damaged, multi-processed hair – and a step towards a greener solution for our planet.

I was excited to check out this product line.  Having an allergy to sulfate products makes choosing haircare as well as skincare a pain at times.  At the same time, I also spend a lot (it’s a vice, for sure) coloring my hair and I am always looking for a way to avoid fading!  Add eco-friendly to that equation and I am certainly ob board!

The concentrated, fade-fighting formula features an eco-select antioxidant complex of fair trade super-antioxidant Açai Berry and conditioning Argan Oil from Morocco that rejuvenates hair for a smooth texture and brilliant color–just as nature intended.

biolage-delicate-carePerhaps the most innovative aspect of BIOLAGE colorcarethérapie Delicate Care is the introduction of BIOLAGE’s first organic-certified conditioning oil – the first professional EcoCert-certified organic hair care product in the market.

That may be why I tried the conditioning oil first.  I went blonde over the summer and admittedly didn’t do the best job keeping my hair from getting extra damage.  Bleaching, blow-drying, and my love of the curling iron left me with dry, split ends and lots of frizz, flyaways and even breakage (a first for me).  I’ve tried other conditioning oils but I was so stoked to try this one because it’s green and sulfate-free. It’s also paraben- and silicone-free and contains organic olive oil and Argan oil.

I have pretty fine, straight hair, but I have a LOT of it. That being said, you don’t need to use a lot of this to get a good result. I left it on for about 10 minutes and my hair came out so soft and shiny, smoothwed out the flyaways and soothed the dry ends.

Check out the entire BIOLAGE colorcarethérapie Delicate Care Collection:

  • Delicate Care Shampoo ($18.00/10 oz.) – BIOLAGE’s first sulfate-free shampoo provides a rich lather and preserves hair’s natural lipid balance and color vibrancy.
  • Delicate Care Conditioner ($19.00/8.5 oz.) – BIOLAGE’s first paraben- and silicone-free formula lightly conditions and softens hair for silky manageability, while UV filters ensure color vibrancy – perfect for fine to normal hair types.
  • Delicate Care Masque ($20.00/5 oz.) – This indulgent weekly masque offers an intensive dose of deep healing Acai Berry and Argan Oil for soft, silky hair and vibrant color retention.
  • Delicate Care Organic Certified Oil Treatment ($24.00/1.7 oz.) – BIOLAGE’s first certified organic product, this versatile oil can be used as a rinse out treatment or a leave-in styler for very dry, coarse hair. The first professional EcoCert-certified organic hair care product in the market, this oil smoothes hair and restores moisture and shine for luminous color.

Is this also good for people with curly hair like me? I live in a place wherein it’s always hot and windy…. I was just wondering if this is the solution to my problem…

It’s exciting to see more and more mainstream companies are creating safer products minus the petrochemical substances! Women risk so much to have beautiful hair, skin, nails…but the risk is not really necessary when safer alternatives exist. I applaud Biolage for their creation.
