Actress Drew Barrymore has been in Hollywood ever since she was only 11 months old. Since that time, she has gone on to star in many memorable movies, and even start her own production company. Along her path, in 2007, she was named CoverGirl Cosmetics’ model and spokeswoman. This relative side gig became a formative experience for Barrymore, whose most recent headline-grabbing project involved her marriage to businessman Will Kopelman in June of last year, and giving birth to their first child, Olive, in September. With the start of the new year brings new things, however, and Barrymore is doing anything but resting on her laurels. Using the tremendous education and information you learned through her experience with CoverGirl, where she also served as co-creative director for six years, Barrymore has decided to launch her very own make-up line, and is making it super affordable as well as innovative.
The line is called Flower, which happens to be the same name as her film production company. The line is available through Walmart stores and online, and features a variety of products for enhancing eyes, lips, skin, and nails. In order to keep costs low, Barrymore has nixed the flashy TV commercials and print ads in high fashion magazines, and has instead been making the rounds on the talk show circuit in order to get the word out about her new line. Prices start as low as $5.98 for a brow pencil, and top out at $9.98 for an eye shadow quad.
