Although it’s not for everyone, if you have short hair and you’re so inclined, why not give trimming your own hair (or someone elses) a whirl?
As a child, I grew up getting most of my haircuts at home with a clipper very similar to the one pictured above. I had a basic crewcut as well as a flat top that was exactly the same from my mother as it would have been from the barber shop.
(Supermodel, William Levy Gutierrez, right, probably doesn’t cut his own hair, but this is an example of an easy style to achieve with a clipper)Now that I’m older, I don’t always have time to go and get my haircut, so I still sometimes use the clipper myself for a quick trim in between professional cuts. If I say so myself, I do a pretty good job (although, it’s much easier to have someone else (that you trust) cut the back).
I’ve had 3 or 4 different clippers since I’ve left home and find that it’s best to buy the ones that come as a set with all of the attachments. They make the process much easier and much faster.
The one above is available online at Amazon and is $49.99
