Almost forgot to to tell you all about our day at Robert Verdi’s Luxe Laboratory for CVS/pharmacy Reinventing Beauty Lounge during Fashion Week! It was a rainy day so what better than to hang out and get pampered at this sleek and chic beauty lounge. There were stylists, makeup artists, and manicurists on hand to give you that mid-day touch-up needed for being in the awful rain.

Our intern Katerina got ready for the Christian Siriano show by getting her hair styled with some curls and went for a smokey-eye look. Refreshments like Vitamin Water along with some salad and chocolate mousse were served; the perfect Fashion Week menu! We also got a sneak peek at some of the great fall products from CVS! Robert Verdi was running around looking pretty busy, as I’m sure he always is, with all the style and fashion crawling around the tents just blocks away from the lounge.

What I also loved about this Chic Retreat was the “special room” in the corner of the beauty lounge which was designed by a very talented product designer, Luciano Lorenzatti of Ignacio Studios, from Canada. Some of the most beautiful and interesting pieces were displayed.  My favorites were the 24karat gold-plated “old 45″ revolver replica incense burner, a 24karat gold-plated chandelier made from reclaimed discarded toys, and the eclectic set of chairs made up of reclaimed vintage chairs which were missing either legs, backs, finials, or arms.
