Tips For Applying Eye Makeup

by StevenE

If you are ready to go out for the night, you may want to apply a bit of eye makeup, so your eyes will look amazing while you are out on the town. If you are a little bit worried, I am going to give you some tips that should help you get your eyes looking amazing in no time. Don’t worry; everyone is going to fall in love with your beautiful eyes once you follow these very simple steps.

First of all, you are going to want to get your eyes ready with some concealer. That way, you will be able to cover up circles underneath your eyes or clear up some discoloration. If you have some dark circles under your eyes, you should apply three drops of concealer and pat it in, never rub it in.

Next, you should apply some eye base to your eyelid. You have to remember that eye base is going to be your best friend, because it will keep your shadow where it needs to be. If you skip this step, you are going to regret it because your eye shadow will probably become a big greasy line in the crease.

After that, you will want to follow up with some eyeliner. Keep in mind that dark eye shadow will work the best as eyeliners. You should start off by wetting a slanted rush and then dip that in some dark eye shadow. You should start off by applying some liner on the bottom eyes, but only start from the middle and go out. After that, you should smudge the line up with a q-tip or your finger, because you don’t want a straight line that sticks out like a soar thumb.

Next, you will want to begin to apply some eye shadow. Let me say that is it good to employ a three-toned eye shadow and then proceed to build from your eye lids to your eyebrow. You should try your best to get them to blend together like a beautiful rainbow and you will have one of the most beautiful effects ever. You should start with a color that is light and almost matched the color of your eye lid. After that, you should smudge that color up from your eye lid to your eyebrow. Next, you should follow up with a medium color that goes across your eye lid only. After that, begin working with a darker color on the crease and then blend the colors together.

Now, that should get you ready for a night out on the town and you will look as gorgeous as ever.

Trade in Those Flip Flops This Summer

by StevenE

Flip flops on empty sandy beach corsica

I think every lady out there needs to make a promise to herself right now: do not wear flip flops this summer unless you absolutely cannot get around it. In other words, you should only wear them while you are in a public shower or you are going to the beach. When going to the office or enjoying a night out on the town with your friends, you should leave the flip flops at home. Don’t take this the wrong way, because we definitely enjoy some open footwear on those torturous hot and humid days, but flip flops have the ability to almost instantly downgrade someone’s look. Not only that, but flip flops are extremely dangerous. I can’t tell you how many butts I have seen smack the ground because of flip flops.

Instead of sporting some flip flops this summer, why not wear T-strap sandals, instead? You will still have that open feeling that you love about flip flops, but you will have more support. Flip flops are unappealing, in my opinion, because it makes your foot look as if it has been cut in half. However, a T-strap sandal actually gives your foot a longer look and so do those nude-colored sandals.

If you want to be a little bit more covered, try wearing some gladiator type sandals. Those are perfect for just about any type of occasion you could imagine. Get rid of those boring flip flops and try something new.

Fashion Smackdown Between Michelle Obama & Ann Romney Wardrobes

by michaela

While the political rivals had a field day this week with Ann Romney’s nearly $1,000 blouse, it appears Ann Romney is not the only presidential candidate’s wife with expensive taste. Despite her penchant for more affordable clothing, First Lady Michelle Obama has quite a pricey wardrobe  herself.

From Balenciaga and Helmut Lang to Michael Kors and Marchesa, the first lady has been known to wear some big name, and expensive designer fashions. Last week alone, Mrs. Obama was  scene in two different L’Wren Scott cardigans, with price tags between $2,000 and $3,000.

Last Thursday, Mrs. Obama wore the designer’s peach embroidered cardigan to a  White House event, Take Your Child To Work Day. The very next day she wore similar piece, this one white with red to greet troops at Fort Stewart, in Georgia, with the president.

It should be noted, however, that Mrs. Obama is also well-known for boosting sales at the more affordable J. Crew and has been seen shopping at the discount store Target.
