Between the packaging of the product and the uniforms of the people at the counter, I don’t know which one draws me to the counter more. This brand is relatively new to the cosmetics world with select distribution. Paul and Joe was created in 2002 by French Designer, Sophie Albou. The line was named for Sophie’s two sons. Sophie created the line to encapsulate the brand’s philosophy of ‘fun loving sophistication’.

The line is nice for someone who doesn’t like a lot of make-up but still wants to be pretty. If you’re missing Stila Cosmetics, it kind of reminds me of the same type of product.

The shadows are probably my favorite part of the line. They’re sheer and shimmery, yet they give just the right amount of pop to the eye.

I also like the emory boards (which have the design of the season on them).

All you do is take the wand, sweep it through your brow, and it will deposit a nice wash of color to give you a fuller, clean, and gorgeous brow without looking like Groucho Marx.

M.A.C. also makes another brow product called Brow Finisher, it comes in 5 shades and it is like a large pencil that deposits a wash of color but in a cool wax like texture. A little of this goes a long way, I have had a pencil for a month now and you would think it was brand new!

There is no excuse for bad brows when you have these fabulous products at your fingertips! Remember, the Brows frame the face so… you could do an incredible makeup, but if your brows are bad, you can forget it!

I recently stopped by the Prescriptives counter to check out what might be new and low and behold, a custom concealer! If you have dark circles and you’re not the average Caucasian woman, you may have had difficulty at some point finding a concealer that matches your skin and actually conceals. Search no more! This concealer comes in whatever color you need because they actually make it for you (as you wait) based on your individual coloring (if you don’t know already, they also make custom foundations).

The texture of the concealer is also adjustable. Alone, it’s a matte consistency. If you find that it’s too matte, they add an oil-free moisture additive, it’s that easy. It has great coverage and sets on its own so you don’t need to powder over it (and risk being cakey under your eyes).
