For those of you out there who are fragrance aficionados, here’s a new line of fragrances from a young man with considerable history behind his name.Kilian Hennessy is the grandson of the founder of the LVMH group and has created six sophisticated fragrances that are beautifully complex in their composition. You’ll want to try each of them on your skin, as they smell completely different on the blotters as well as on each individual.

(My personal favorite is Straight to Heaven, which is a woody fragrance.)
Each fragrance comes (only) in a refillable bottle in a beautifully finished chest that must be opened by the turn of a tasseled key. The chest and the bottles are emblazoned by the symbol of Achilles shield, which is to be as an offering to the Gods to bring the wearer protection as well as the gift of seduction.

Floris was founded by Juan Famenias Floris in 1730 London. Juan set up shop as a barber and comb maker. He soon missed his passion for fragrance…and thus, the Floris fragrance house begins. Floris at one point made over 100 different fragrances (which has been considerably paired down since then). The quality of all their products is outstanding. It’s obvious why this product has been around for so many years.

Floris retains two Royal warrants (which means that whomever’s warrant is on the product, they endorse it as being of a high enough standard that they would consider using it (or actually do).Floris is still family run (and owned) and in it’s eighth generation of descendants of the original founder. It’s shop (amazingly) remains at the same place of its origin at 89 Jermyn Street in London.

With all this history in place, now we can get onto the product.

My absolute favorite scent in the line is Grapefruit and Rosemary.

It’s a more sour than sweet grapefruit smell, but delightfully fresh and clean. The room spray as well as the candle immediately removes ANY unwanted smell from your powder room as well as from any other room of your home.
