As with most Make-up Artist brand beginnings, ReBECCA Williams, from Perth, Australia, was a make-up artist with a problem… she couldn’t find the right textures and colors in foundation to make her work look natural. She started to test formulations in 1996 and by 2002 her line was in Bergdorf Goodman, in NYC on the other side of the planet (I can’t believe that this line’s been around for so long without me taking a look at it).
Finally, a luxury color line that makes foundations, powder and concealers for EVERY skin color! Most of the color brands stop short when it comes to making foudation products for African American and Indian skin tones (MAC is really the only mainstream brand that carries another full color range of foundation products for darker skin in the luxury arena). In spite of marketing experts and critics, Becca forged ahead to create a great product with an even better range of foundation products.
