Badgley Mischka Launches New Fragrance “Couture”

by

Mark Badgley & James Mischka Nothing says Fashion Week quite like a little dose of Badgley Mischka Couture.

Badgley Mischka launched their new fragrance, “Couture,” during Fashion week. Beauty bloggers were invited to the famed Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa on 5th Avenue for a launch party and meeting with none other than Mark Badgley and James Mischka themselves.

The hustle and bustle of Rush Hour was taking over 5th Avenue when I walked through the famed red door. It was a beauty bloggers dream – beautiful lighted counters, makeup in every gorgeous color as far as the eye could see, and in the back an alcove shelved with fragrances in lovely packaging.

Upstairs we gathered waiting for our guests of honor. In came Mark Badgley, James Mischka and perfumer Caroline Sabas of Givaudan Fragrances. We had the opportunity to ask them about their fragrances, their inspiration, and of course a little bit about their gorgeous fashion.

Badgley Mischka’s “Couture” is inspired by women and fashion. The designers described the bottle’s design as being like a gown with a little hint of a bare shoulder or décolletage showing. It’s a little piece of couture that every woman can afford. If you can’t buy the Badgley Mischka Couture gown, you can get that luxury with their Couture fragrance.

Badgley Mischka Couture has a little hint of musk – but it’s not your grandmother’s musk! It’s a lighter version, a little more floral, and definitely feminine. The fragrance includes fruity notes of Purple Plum, Blackberry, and Pear Nectar, and woodsy florals like Jasmine, Gardenia, Violet, Sensual Musks and Creamy Woods.

Not only does it smell delicious and sexy, but the bottle is a little piece of couture for your dressing table. Check out this “affordable luxury,”  Badgley Mischka Couture, at Nordstrom($65-$90). You won’t be disappointed!

Did you try the perfume? How did you like it? I have lots of different kinds, and although this one sounds interesting, I have been moving more to products with all-natural ingredients. :)
