Jennifer Long is the Editor-in-Chief at Beyond Beauty Basics. She has worked as a interactive marketing professional specializing in search engine marketing and optimization for more than six years. Jennifer has worked with companies large and small, and as an independent consultant. Her passion for beauty & fashion and her experience in several marketing verticals including beauty, legal, retail, online education, campus education, real estate, IT and web design services, helps her manage the exciting content at Beyond Beauty Basics keeping her readers in mind. Jennifer helps oversee the contributions of the editorial team and works on building relationships with new readers, fans, and companies. A 2010 Master in Fine Arts in Creative Writing candidate at The New School University in lower Manhattan, Jennifer also holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York. Kate Monahan is a writer and certified personal trainer. She has over 9 years of experience in the field of health and fitness and is the director of Fit Girl, a unique fitness and self esteem program she created for teenage girls. Kate has worked for Equinox Fitness Clubs in Manhattan as a Master Fitness Trainer, where she trained both celebrities and top CEO’s. Kate lives and breathes health, fitness, beauty, and fashion. She has contributed to various online sites and is always scouring the Internet for the latest beauty and fashion trends. A 2010 MFA candidate at The New School University in lower Manhattan, Kate also holds a BA in English and Education from Boston College. She has published short fiction, non-fiction articles, and is currently working on a short story collection. She lives in Montclair, NJ where she writes, fitness trains, and spends her free time wine tasting and restaurant hopping with a fellow Boston College Grad who happens to be her husband.
