Glue as Surgery

by Paul Baranda

In a post from Plasticized.com that I recently read, it talks about using a new adhesive for brow lifts instead of the current methods (which almost sound medieval).
If they can use it for a brow lift, I wonder if maybe they could use it for face, eye, neck lifts as well. (Katherine Helmond, below, in the 1985 movie, Brazil)

I can’t wait until you just apply a product and it sucks away all the excess skin (and even fat, for that matter). Hopefully, it will be within my lifetime.
If you think about it, in the last 10-20 years, liposuction has come a long way as well. They used to use this huge tube to suck out the fat that was very invasive and quite dangerous. Now, they can use a much smaller tube that generally has a more pleasing outcome (physically) as well as being less evasive.

Armani Bronze Mania Collection

by Paul Baranda

Magnificence in shades of gold…perfectly describes the following pieces in the Giorgio Armani Beauty collection this fall season.

The Gold Mediterranean Palette has four new shadows (all in brown/gold tones) as well as a sheer bronzer. $85.00

If you’ve never tried the Armani eyeshadows, you’re in for a treat. They have a creamy texture, but contain just the right amount of pigment to do the job.

The collection also has a new Summer Foundation. This bronze tint comes in two colors (1 and 2) and has an almost completely sheer finish. If you have beautifully textured skin and don’t need any coverage, it has a smooth silky finish and the colors create a very realistic tan. They suggest using the blending brush for application. $55.00

The bronzing duo is great to use as contour anywhere on your face. It has two powder colors, one in a matte bronze and the other a pale, gold shimmer. $65.00

What actually captured my eye in the collection in the first place were the gold toned shadows (#63 and #64). They have a beautiful shimmer across the top of the shadow (I don’t know if it’s all the way through, as I just touched the surface. They’re so pretty I didn’t want to ruin them yet). $26.00

Giorgio Armani Beauty can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue and selected Neiman Marcus stores

Men love ladies with Curves! But Everyone loves the New Blackberry Curve!

by Paul Baranda

If you haven’t gotten a new cell phone lately, it is time to turn in that dinosaur of a phone you have now and update to the sleek and savvy Blackberry Curve. Now I know everyone is on the IPhone bandwagon, but I am addicted to my Blackberry now, but when I got my hands on this one, there is no switching to any other phone. Even all the celebrities are addicted to their Blackberry’s… you wont catch Paris, Alyssa Milano, Lindsey, Nicole Ritchie, or Britney without theirs in hand at all times.

I can go through the 50+ selling points of the Blackberry Curve, but I don’t like to bore you… I’ll keep it to what is most important to any Blackberry lover, and those of you who are soon to be come addicted to your Blackberry Curve, or your “Crackberry” as we all call them.

The Blackberry Curve is so small, fits comfortably in your hand, but still has the feature of a full keyboard. There is a 2MP camera with a flash and an enhanced media player, you can play movies and all! (This has never been done on any other Blackberry) The Curve has the QWERTY keyboard (MY FAVE!) the new trackball navigation to email, organize, and instant message, and you can also do Push-to-Talk like a walkie talkie!  Not to mention the Curve has stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD expansion for added memory from the  64MB of internal ROM, and a slimmer stylish shell. I LOVE IT!

The sleek design goes with any outfit of choice, and looks great as an accessory to any look! Because the Curve is so small, it will fit in just about any bag so you don’t have to be apart from it for too long! Trust me, I have had a Blackberry for over a year now and I have been addicted to it from day one!

I even have a better deal for you… the Blackberry Curve retails for $449 but BeyondBeautyBasics has the hook up to get you your Blackberry Curve at a much lower price! Just mention BeyondBeautyBasics at Wireless World in Hackensack, New Jersey and Lou will give you a FREE Bluetooth and the best discount on your phone when you sign up a new activation with Cingular/AT&T. Now you are on your way to becoming the next Blackberry addict! Sorry, this is only for New Jersey and New York residents. Just ask for Lou and you are all set!!!  This is definitely a girls best friend! And the guys will love it for all the advanced tech it has to offer, not just cause it’s cute! Are you a Crackberry? What do you all think of the new Curve??

100% Pure is 100% Fabulous

by Paul Baranda

I was recently shopping for new and exciting products for my bath and came across this fabulous line of bath and body products that really are 100% pure.If you’ve read my posts in the past, you already know that I have extremely sensitive skin on my body. I find that the less (and more natural) ingredients in my products, the better.

The reason I bought the product (other than the short list of ingredients) was the unbelievable scent. Each one of them smell exactly like the fruits that they’re named for (and if possible, even better).

My first experience was the Lime Shower Gel

and the second was Organic Nectarine Shower Gel

Unlike most shower gels, their first ingredients are the organic juice that they’re named for. Each shower gel is $13.50 and they come in 15 flavorful scents.

You’ll need to buy a body sponge, as the shower gels have a more liquid consistency than most. Find a big, natural sea sponge (they look great near the shower or tub) Buy one at PureSponges.co.uk (they have the largest selection I’ve ever seen)

I can’t wait to try the 100% Pure Body Butters. The Pink Grapefruit smells amazing..

available through Bathandbodyworks.com and CO Bigelow
