The Question that is asked over and over again by almost every woman to approach a cosmetic counter… …”What’s the best color for me?”
Answer: color is subjective. There are (of course) certain shades within every color family that are better or worse for certain skin tones. Every woman can wear a red, pink, coral and brown lipstick. It depends on which color you choose. Ask the counter person which shade within the color family is best for your skin tone.
More Lipstick Q&A…
Question: “Are there any glosses that will stay put for hours?”

Answer: unless you don’t talk or don’t eat or drink, probably not. The companies are always coming out with new technologies, but for now, I don’t know of any.
The drier the lipstick, the longer it lasts. Matte lipsticks last the longest.
There are also companies that now make lip stains that also last. Typically, if you apply a lip gloss over a lipstick (even a matte one), it will dilute the properties of the base color (to some extent) and shorten the wear time. You can also use your lip liner all over your lip first to extend the wear time of your lip color.
Question: “Do I really need a lip liner?”

Answer: my personal opinion…yes! Most women don’t have very good lip definition. They also don’t have perfectly shaped lips. If you want more definition or if you want to (slightly) change the shape of your mouth, use a lip liner.
Also, lip liners come in handy if you have a drawer full of lipsticks that you like, but are a shade off from the color that you were looking for. Mix them together on your hand to get the perfect shade and then fill in your entire lip with the liner and go over it with the lipstick. Shazam! the perfect color.
